Give away your
New/Used Furniture, Small Appliances, and Kitchenware Every year, international students from all over the world come to the U.S. with nothing but two suitcases to fulfill their dreams. They hope to settle down in Austin as quickly as possible and study hard. When they are here, we have a precious opportunity to get to befriend them and share both our and God's love with them. ACCCF is organizing a Welcome Night to reach out to these new students on 8/17, where we will distribute donated goods, furniture, and appliances to them. Through this Welcome Night, we would like to attract more Mandarin speaking students from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and South-East Asia to our fellowship. At the same time, we hope to give them a warm, passionate Texas-style welcome from you all. What can you contribute? We are helping students to settle down in their new apartment. Anything furniture and appliance for bedroom and living room will help them a lot. Furniture like futon, couch, mattress, folding table, end table, book shelf, etc will be very helpful. Small Appliances like lamp, fan, TV, microwave, rice cooker, toaster, etc are commonly need in students' new apartments. But not limited to previous examples. Kitchenware may be small but they are also important to help them fix the daily meals. Once you have something in your mind, this is how you can help on this program: (1) Provide pictures of your items to giveaway (2) Provide your contact information (3) Arrange the delivery method with students (4) Send your information to ACCCF (acccfweb@gmail.com) Note: ACCCF will not deliver the items for you. If you can not deliver the items yourself, please do not send information to us. |
