到底 UT 有多大?

The University of Texas now has the largest population of any campus in the United States, with 4,8857 students. You might start thinking of UT as a small city...a city that happends to be larger than 12 of U.S. Capitol cities.
In fact, if you lined up UT students arm-to-arm, it would reach New Braunfels, TX...that is 51 miles! And talk about diversity, UT students come from 111 different countries.
Conon's pizza goes through 2184 pounds of pepperoni each year on students alone. There are over 2,029,000 meals served in campus cafeterias. The students go through 29,230 pounds of Capt. Crunch, and eat over 208,996 hamburgers each year, not to mentioned 947,160 eggs.
There are 329 Smiths in the UT directory. HEck, we even has 2 zip codes on campus. And just in case you are interested, they go through 12,200 miles of toilet paper every year, enough to stretch over halfway around the planet. 879,426 pounds...that's the estimated weight of books UT students carry in their bacpacks every day!
Over 80% of them read THEIR newspaper...The Daily Texan. And don't forget...there are over 19,000 faculty and staff here too...making us the #1 largest employer in Austin!
