The University of Michigan Chapter volunteers have been actively involved
with the issue. They have been working with a group called Justice
in Bhopal (which is an official member of the ICJB).
Austin, Texas
- Visiting Diane Wilson in Seadrift and participating in the relay

- Collected ~175 public signatures and faxed them to the Indian embassy.

in the Jhadoo action in Houston against ex-CEO Michael Parker in October

California
- Organized talk with Nity and Amit of Corpwatch on the Bhopal
issue.
- Screened a Bhopal movie: A cloud over bhopal at Stanford, was well
attended.
- Participated in the world wide hunger strike started by Diane Wilson.
- Organized a protest in front of the Indian Consulate in SanFrancisco.
August 2002 [story]
- Debated with Madhya pradesh's CM DigVijay Singh at 2 locations in
the Bay area and talked with him about the Bhopal issue.
- Collected signatures from various folks for the petition by standing
in public places like outside grocery stores, temples etc. we collected
~175 public signatures and handed it over to the embassy.
- Distribute Bhopal Flyers in all AID events.
- Volunteers called the counsulate General in a chain call, protesting
against the Bhopal tragedy and the consulate general agreed to send
our fax with the survivors demands to the Indian government.
- Organized a talk by Sathyu and Dr.Trivedi who are fighting for the
survivors cause.
- Free Screening of Bhopal Documentary in SFO.... (sponsored by friends
of bhopal, corpwatch & Social and Cultural Anthropology Program
at the California Institute of Integral Studies.) December, 2002
- Voted unanimously to join the International Coalition of Justice
in Bhopal (ICJB) as a chapter.
- Currently Engaging with the Madya Pradesh association here to involve
them in the struggle
