BHOPAL CAMPAIGN

AID, as an organization presented a resolution at the Student Government and Graduate Student Assembly of University of Texas, Austin urging the university to condemn DOW for its inaction in Bhopal and requst the university to decline donations from DOW till it accepts its responsibilities in Bhopal. Over 1100 UT, Austin students, over 50 faculty members and various student groups have endorsed the resolution.

Bhopal resolution AR 26 was voted in favor by the Student Government of the UT, Austin in the debate.
The final vote was YES-21, NO-13, ABSTAIN-0.


Thank you very much to everyone who attended the SG debate on Jan 31st.
Bhopal resolution AR 21 was voted down by the Student Government of the UT, Austin in the debate that lasted for more than 3 hours.

The final vote was YES-16, NO-17, ABSTAIN-2.
