Venue Details Welch Hall

The conference venue is on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. Chemistry and Biochemistry Department University of Texas Welch Hall 105 E. 24th St. & Speedway Austin, TX 78712 The campus is located in the heart of the city of Austin, just north of the downtown area. Check out the main area map of the university. The conference venue is in the Welch Hall (building map) on the intersection of 24th St. & Speedway. Directions to the venue (Welch Hall): IH-35 Take 26th Street (Dean Keaton Street) exit heading west for North campus; campus will be on your left. Take a left on San Jacinto Street (2nd light). Then take the first right on 24th St. The first stop sign is Speedway. Welch Hall is on the left of the intersection. Enter the building from any of the entrances from Speedway. MoPac/Highway 1 Take Windsor Road exit heading east. Windsor turns into 24th Street. Continue on 24th until you enter the campus (after Guadalupe). Once you enter the campus the second stop sign is Speedway. Welch Hall is towards your right on the intersection. Enter the building from any of the entrances from Speedway. Highway 71 From East, take I-35 North and follow directions for I-35 above. From West, take MoPac/Highway 1 North and follow directions for MoPac/Highway 1 above. I-290 From East, take I-35 South and follow directions for I-35 above. From West, follow directions for Highway 71 above. I-183 From North, take MoPac/Highway 1 South and follow directions for MoPac/Highway 1 above. From South, take Highway 111/Airport Boulevard North to MLK Boulevard. Head east on MLK Boulevard and campus will be on your right. Take a right on Guadalupe. Take another right on 24th and then follow the directions from MoPac/Highway 1 above. Parking Maps Street parking around the campus is usually free on the weekends. In the campus there is a limited free curbside parking available after 5.30pm on a weekday and all day on weekends. If you park on the street make sure that the sign does not indicate permit parking for that time. We recommend that you park on one of the parking garages around the campus to be safe. The closest garage is at 24th St. & San Jacinto. The venue is walkable from here. Please refer to the parking maps for more details.
