About the NGO*:
Existing Conditions:
Tribal villages (or Gudems) are located in places far away from
developed societies. Due to their remoteness, they do not have
proper transportation facilties and hence government health workers
seldom reach these villages. Most tribals resort to herbal medicines
and traditional methods of cure. This project aims at providing
health-care facilities at the door steps of the rural tribal people
by training local health workers and providing them with simple
medicines.
Objectives of Project:
(a) To provide health-care
facilities at the door steps of the rural tribals
(b) To train
health workers from the taget villages and provide simple medicines
(c) To generate awarness among the rural people about preventive
measures and make them aware of treatment for simple diseases
(d) To promote the use of herbal medicines and if possible grow
some medicinal plants in the backyards
(e) To promote and spread
natural cure methods
