Project : Andra Pradesh Girijana Sevak Sangh

About the NGO*:  

Existing Conditions:  Tribal villages (or Gudems) are located in places far away from developed societies. Due to their remoteness, they do not have proper transportation facilties and hence government health workers seldom reach these villages. Most tribals resort to herbal medicines and traditional methods of cure. This project aims at providing health-care facilities at the door steps of the rural tribal people by training local health workers and providing them with simple medicines.

Objectives of Project: 
(a) To provide health-care facilities at the door steps of the rural tribals
(b) To train health workers from the taget villages and provide simple medicines
(c) To generate awarness among the rural people about preventive measures and make them aware of treatment for simple diseases
(d) To promote the use of herbal medicines and if possible grow some medicinal plants in the backyards
(e) To promote and spread natural cure methods
