Regarding the progress of the project,  I can inform you the following steps
have
been initiated:

--Survey & the Survey analysis have been completed
--Distribution of working-area of the Village Health Workers(VHWs)
--Temporary Arrangement of Village-Clinic at the BTS Office-roomHas been
made.
--Date of Good opening of the Villafe-Clinic has been decided as on the Ist
day
  of AUG.,2002 as per decision of our Board Of Management Because there are
  a lot of jobs to be done for the
Clinic--SSmilyHealthCardFHC);Arrangement of
  furnitures like Showcase/Almirrah for Medicine-Bank,Purchase of medicine&
  Medical equipments, etc.
--Doctor's appointment(Contract)& VHWs ' Contract have been made.
--Formation of PSS(Parivar Swastha Sangha) in the 5 Project-Villages
being            Progressing well...As of now 10 PSS have been formed.

PROBLEMS:
--Lack of seperate rooms for the clinic, patients'wating,doctor's
treatement,
  Doctor&the Village Health Workers' Meeting, Medicine Store-room,&etc.
  as BTS has no such extra rooms to provide so...
--Lack of necessary furnitures as said above
--Problem of light(solar)/power generator and Refrigerator to well-keeping
of       vaccines etc.
--Doctor's  Bike for EMERGENCY- USE...

GOOD NEWS:
We have somehow managed to collect funds for MOBILE BOAT from Holland.
 And it will help us a lot towards the transportation of serious patients
from our land to Raidighi...! But, We again Need to have an AMBULANCE from
Raidighi to Kolkata or any urban hospitals...then the communication -gap
will quitely be linked up ...and our island people will have a chance to try
atleast to save their near and dear ones...!!!

Hope your full co-operation in this regard that we can run the healthcare
clinic smoothly for the cause and care of our island suffering
souls...!!!!!!!
