1. Has the clinic been started? If so, what is the average patients per day in the clinic? How many days is the doctor available in the clinic? 2. Have there been any camps organized? What is the status of the camps? What were the outcomes? 3. Has the medicine bank been stocked? What kind of medicines are being stocked? 4. What is the status of the FHC card? Are there members who have enrolled into the FHC program? How much are they contributing? 5. How did the training of the volunteers go? How many days were the training? What areas were they trained on? 6. What kind of details did the survey take? Can you add more details such as number of men, women, children that are being covered in the program? What kind of children vaccination programs being covered? Have you talked to the nearest PHC to provide such camps in the local area? Ans. To Ques. 1. – Yes the clinic has been started usually 30-35 patients in average/day are visiting the village clinic. It will take time to increase the average nos. as the same has not yet been propagated enormously & widely due to the non-availability of qualified doctors during these past days here. ? 4 days by Dr. A. Dutta & next 2 days by S. Mishra = Total 6 days are being covered ! The rest day is being prepared to be covered by a para medical volunteer, Mr. P. Giri, an Asstt. To the doctors. 2. No. Medical camp has been organised till date. Actually PSS Formation & other arrangements have been done carefully so as to promote the project-movement. 3. – A Revolving Medicine Bank (RMB) – Jeeban Daan has been set up initially with a provision of emergency medicines. ? Medicines of different groups like Norfloxacin , Cefoxcacillin, Paracitamol,Admendazol etc. are being stored in the Revolving Medicine Bank(RMB) 4. – As we have decided primarily that the FHC will be given to our PSS member-families during the period of well-running of the clinic and ensuring our village-people (PSS family members) the basic healthcare advantage through the clinic. So, it is being planned to distribute the FHC very soon. ? there will be no compulsion/bindings to be enrolled into the PSS with FHCs (Family Healthcare Cards) rather it will be promoted as per interest of the PSS-beneficiary-families. But, we hope within a few months (2-3), the same process will be started to be continued. ? As per discussion with our PSS units in presence of Mr. K. Lahiri, a sum of Rs.290/-/year per PSS-family members member with FHC will be contributed to the project fund. But, it will be a very slow process…..! 5. – only two trainings for the VHWs have been organised recently. ? Both they were of 3 days duration. ? Areas were covered during the trainings are (a) First Aid & Home Nursing, (b) Village- Health-Worker & their duties-responsibilities, (c) How to communicate with the village PSS- family-members (d) VHW-Healthcare kit demonstration. (e) On MAT (Motivation, Awareness & Training) efforts (f) Handling of FHC & respective members (g)Management of RMB & clinic. (h) Planning & Programming under community Healthcare Project (CHP) etc. ? Rests relating to basic health care approches like MCH care, RCH, Low-Cost Health care efforts, Training of village (TBA), Preventive issues etc. are being planned out soon. 6. – The survey took the details of Socio-Economic Status, Male-Female-Children ratio, children’s Mortality Rate & Birth Rate, usual diseases in the island areas, chronic diseases, Medicinal properties available in the Project-area, Healthcare Expenses from outward sources likie clinics/NHs at Raidighi/Kolkata…..etc. ? Out of 1000 PSS (in 5 villages) no. of Men 1,938, Women 1,824 Children 2,501 are being planned to be covered in the program. ? Children Vaccination Programs like Pulse Polio Immunization, Tripple Antigen, Busterdes are being conducted by us in close collaboration with nearest block PHC since 1999 & onwards. Yes, we have talked and the program is in the progress. We are trying to have much involvement of our nearest PHC Medical teams ….. alongwith the supply of some IEC materials & Emergency Medicines….!
