The
International Campaign for Justice in Bhopal (ICJB) is an umbrella
organization of 20 environmental and social justice groups who
have joined forces to campaign for justice for the gas survivors
of Bhopal. ICJB is spearheaded by the women's survivor group,
the Bhopal Gas Peedit Mahila Stationary Karmachari Sangh. More

| Project Summary |
This
income generation scheme is intended to benefit the families of
the victims of the gas tragedy. The project involves buying solar
lanterns and renting them out to the hawkers on a daily rental
basis. Such idea has been implemented successfully in Chennai.
With the guidance of Chennai group, this project is expected to
be self-sustainable in 3-5 months. |
| Objective |
The goal of the project is to create an income generation program
through the use of renewable energy. The project will initially
support 5-6 families and can later be expanded to about 10-15
families. |
