of empowerment amongst disadvantaged communities especially women.

| Project Summary |
The project hopes to work on human rights especially with
respect to gender equity. It hopes to address issues of violence
against women, women's land ownership and property rights, rights
of dalits, adivasis, minorities and other vulnerable sections of
the society, highlighting the states' responsibility towards these
vulnerable communities by ensuring access to safe drinking water,
sanitation, food security and health care along with reproductive
care.

| Objective |
Short term:
- Working with various women's issues like access to water resources,
paralegal support to women in case of domestic violence
- Increasing women's participation in decision making through
panchayati raj committees
- Strengthening women's collective through establishment of women's
organizations in the village
- Networking with other organizations, both formal and informal,
like Women's federations, District lok manch of leaders, Sarpanch,
Nyaya samitis, paani samitis etc.
Long term:
To increase women's participatory role in governing bodies,
work on women's rights issues, and to help in creating a just and
equitable society for women.
