1)What is the exact amount that we (AID-Austin) need to fund?  AID-Columbus funded $2000 for first half of Phase. [The required amount for Phase-I is ~$4700 ] ... Why not the full funds [4700/2 = $2350] was given by AID-Columbus. Has AID Columbus approved all the portions of the budget or not considered certain portions of the budget? 

[This question is to understand if you think any portion of budget is redundent ]  

The $2000 was simply because that's all we could afford from our budget at that particular time. The entire proposal was, in fact, review and approved. But the amount we had directed how much we could fund.  

 

2)Has the work been started now as the funding has reached NGO? How much has
been done? Do you people have got any intermediate project report?  

I sent a letter to Gana Chetana a couple of weeks ago explaining this whole multiple chapter business, and also asked for a report of current work. I have not heard back from them a yet. This was a letter I sent by post, so I assume they have only received it about now, and it will take a few more days to hear back from them. As soon as I hear from them, I will notify you.
