総会

　新活動年度で新役員と会員の皆様が顔を合わせる最初の機会です。ＡＪＡの新役員・会員の皆様の紹介以外にも、一年間の活動内容・イベント及びその他様々な情報が紹介される予定です。当地在住日本人会員及び日本に興味を持つ方々の間における情報交換の場として、かつ会員の皆様相互の交流を深める場として、新活動年度最初の絶好の機会となりますので、皆様奮ってご参加ください。

Sou-kai
The September General Meeting is the first opportunity in the school year for the new members to make some friends and for the current members to renew old acquaintances. In addition to the introduction of new officers and AJA members, plans for activities and events for the coming year are presented and discussed. It is a perfect chance to exchange useful information with AJA members and others interested in Japan -- don't miss it!

秋ＢＢＱ

学生部のメンバーが中心となって、新会員の方々の歓迎会を開催致します。こちらでの生活を始めたばかりの方々に、テキサス流にバーベキューを楽しみながら、オースティンの生活情報（日本料理食材店、買い物、スポーツ、免許証の取得方法等）、大学受講科目・教授・試験・レポート等の情報、シックス・ストリート情報、ゴルフ場情報等何でも疑問・質問にお答えできる機会にできればと考えております。

Fall Barbeque
The BBQ is an event organized primarily by the student members of the AJA to welcome new members. For those just beginning their stay in Austin, the BBQ is a great opportunity to get the latest information on living, studying, and having a good time in their new city -- the best places for Japanese food, shopping, and sports; how to get a driver's license; the inside scoop on good, and not so good, classes and professors; Sixth Street nightlife; various golf courses in the Austin area. Any and all questions cheerfully answered.

やきいも

ちょっぴり日本の秋の雰囲気を味わってみませんか。オースチンのアウトドアで味わうやきいもも意外とおいしいですよ。 昨年からＪＡＳＡ（Ｊａｐａｎ Ａｍｅｒｉｃａｎ Ｓｏｃｉｅｔｙ Ｏｆ Ａｕｓｔｉｎ）との合同イベントとなっています。今後さらに交流の輪を広げたいとも考えております。

Yaki-imo

Why not stop by for a taste of the Japanese autumn at the October Yaki-imo Party? Held in conjunction with the JASA (Japan American Society of Austin), the Yaki-imo Party is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the Austin outdoors -- and some pretty tasty yaki-imo as well -- while broadening your world with some new friends.

谷口ガーデン清掃

日本にゆかりのある谷口ガーデンを美しく保つために、AJAは年に一度、自主的に清掃を行っております。例年、会員の皆様の参加は惨澹たる状況ではありますが、今一度、ボランティア活動が大変重要視されているアメリカ社会に生活する日本人として、コミュニティにいかに貢献できるかを考えてみる機会として参加されては如何でしょうか。

Taniguchi Garden Cleaning

Every year, AJA volunteers gather to spruce up the Taniguchi Garden, a beautiful spot right here in Austin with a surprising connection to Japan. Even so, the lack of AJA member participation in this most worthwhile event has been lamentable. American society places much value on volunteer activities -- isn't it time that we too did our part to contribute to the community? This year, let's do it right. Come on out and join us

クリスマスパーティ

一年の最後の大きなパーティとして、ＡＪＡは盛大なクリスマスパーティを開催します。昨年は東京エレクトロンアメリカ社屋にて催されました。正装パーティとはいえ、非常においしい料理とシンギング・フレンズによるコーラスなどの演奏で素晴らしい時間を過ごせます。このパーティに行くには必要な事は予約をすることといい服を選ぶことだけです！お見逃しなく！

Christmas Party

As the last big party of the year, AJA holds a greatful Christmas party, which was at Tokyo Electron America last year. Even though it is a fomal party, you can have a wonderful time by delicious foods and a lot of performance such as choruses by the Singing Friends. To join the party, you only need to make a reservation and select a nice dress. Don't miss it!

新年会

日本を離れて暮している方々及び日本に興味を持っている当地在住の方々で新年会を開催致します。何もかも手作りの集まりですが、唱和会を始めとしたボランティアの方々による料理、シンギングフレンズのコーラス、そして、楽しいゲームと、様々な催し物盛りだくさんのイベントです。特に、日本食を恋しく想っている方々、日本食が好きな方々、満足する事請け合いです。

New Year Party

The AJA holds a New Year's Party for Japanese people spending their holidays away from their homeland and for all others interested in Japan. It is purely a home-made affair, but with plenty of seasonal delicacies from the Showa Kai and other volunteer groups, choruses by the Singing Friends, and lots of fun games, a good time is guaranteed for all. Especially those who yearn forsome delicious Japanese cuisine will not want to miss this event!

ワークショップ

アメリカ及び日本で就職活動を経験したボランティアの方々が中心となり、パネル・ディスカッション形式で就職活動全般に関する説明会を開催致します。説明会では、就職活動を終えた方々がこれから就職活動を始める方々の質問に何でもお答え致します。就職フェアー、就職情報斡旋企業、面接での質問内容、その他体験談等知りたい情報がある方は是非ご参加ください。

Career Workshop

Veterans of the job hunt in the United States and Japan share their experiences in a panel discussion for those about to go through the same ordeal themselves. What are the best job fairs, who are the most capable job recruiters, how should one approach an interview? -- any question is fair game for these volunteers.

初夏の雰囲気の漂うオースチンのアウトドアでバーベキューを楽しみましょう。今年からスポーツ好きの人たち対象のゲーム、小さなお子様向けのゲーム等趣向をこらして企画してみたいと思っています。御家族・御友人の皆様お誘いあわせの上、御気軽にご参加ください。

Spring Barbeque

The Austin spring is a wonderful time to get outside and enjoy a Texas BBQ. This year the emphasis will be on sports for grownups, games for small children, and assorted other activities for any and all. Bring your family and bring your friends for a casual afternoon outdoors

夏祭り

日本の夏といえば、花火、西瓜割り、夏祭りを思いだす方が多いと思います。とうもろこしの焼ける香ばしい匂い、かき氷の脳天を突き抜けんばかりの冷たさ．．．日本ならではですよね。AJAはこのテキサスにいながら「夏祭り」をそっくり持ってきました。興味のある方はどうぞご参加下さい。

Natsumatsuri

Do you miss Japanese summer? AJA presented "Natsumatsuri" to everybody. "Natsumatusri" is a Japanese style festival in the summer: "Grilled cones", "Snow corns", "SUIKAWARI(hitting a watermelon)", and "Fireworks"! You can enjoy "Natsumatsuri" even you stay in Austin. Why don't you come to "Natsumatusri" next time?
