What ALDPES is: organization designed to encourage academic achievement as well as extracurricular excellence with service events and socials.

 

Speed Meeting: Get to know people around the room!

 

How to Get Points - Old Members need 12 points per semester

  • 1 point per hour at a service event
  • 1 point per every social
  • 1 point for driving to an event
  • 1 point for attending a meeting
  • 1 point for dropping off 8 candid pictures of an event during office hours
  • Can make up missed meeting by bringing 2 canned goods during office hours

 

Office Hours - 4th floor of the SSB, Cubicle L8

  • Treasurers: 1 PM on Mondays
  • Social Chairs: 2 PM on Mondays
  • Historians: 10 AM on Tuesdays
  • Service Event Chairs: 11 AM on Tuesdays
  • Secretaries: 10 AM on Wednesdays
  • Vice Presidents: 2 PM on Wednesdays
  • Webmaster: 11 AM on Thursdays
  • Presidents: 2 PM on Thursdays

 

General Meeting Update: all general meetings will be in JGB 2.324 at 6 PM every other Wednesday.

 

T-Shirt Design Contest: Submit designs by Sept. 29. If your design is chosen, you get one for free. :)

 

First Service Event

  • Blair Woods Clean-up
  • Saturday, Sept. 26th
  • 8-12:30 AM
  • Sign up by midnight on Sept. 24th
  • Email Nicole or Caitlin (Service Events Coordinators) to sign up

 

Social Events: movie nights, lunches/ dinners with professors, a picnic & IM sports (volleyball, soccer) all coming soon!

 

Fundraising

  • Will be having fundraising nights at Pluckers, Pizza Hut, etc.
  • Selling t-shirts

 

Student Mentorship Program

  • Upperclassmen (juniors or seniors) can be paired with lowerclassmen (sophomores or freshmen)
  • Purpose: to give advice about academics, study tips, life in general, etc.
  • Should we implement the program? Would you be a mentor? Please tell us what you think.

 

The ALD Scrapbook won "Maintaining the Flame" award! Keep in mind, you can earn points (and help us win again!) by taking pictures!
