Thanks to all of you who came to tonight’s meeting. For those who couldn’t make it, here are some of the awesome point opportunities we’ve got coming up:

What: Next Movie Night – Atonement

When: TOMORROW - Thursday, March 20, 9:00 pm (get there at 8:25 so we can get good seats!)

Where: Union Theater

Why: Free movie AND a point? That’s a win-win…-win.

What: Induction of New Members and Those Inducted Last Semester

When: Sunday, March 30, 12:00 pm (noon)

Where: Frank Erwin Center

** Dress nicely, and invite your family members to attend!

What: Park Social

When: Friday, April 4; meet outside Carothers Dorm at 4:30 pm – we’ll be walking to the park (don’t worry, it’s not far)

Where: Eastwoods Park (at the corner of Dean Keeton and Harris Park Avenue)

Why: Food and fun for everyone!

** Wear something that can get wet. You have been warned.

What: University Honors Day

When: April 12 (more information on time and location to come)

Why: ALD and PES are the largest honor societies on campus, so our members represent a good percentage of the volunteers for this event – let’s keep it up!

** Sign-up will be conducted online; you should be receiving sign-up instructions soon.

A couple other things (AKA free stuff):

Princeton Review is offering ALDPES members four half-scholarships for Princeton Review classes. The application is attached to this e-mail. If you’d like to apply, fill out the application and return it to us no later than April 2. You can bring it to any officer’s office hours or to the next general meeting (which, incidentally, is on April 2).

Also, Project Princess is collecting donations such as prom dresses, accessories, and other items to give to girls from low-income families so they can attend their senior proms. If you donate an item to Project Princess, you’ll be entered in a contest to win a FREE SHIRT!

Finally, if you’re getting this e-mail, you’re most likely already on the ALDPES listserv, but… in case you know anyone who isn’t on it, be sure they send an e-mail to listproc@lists.cc.utexas.edu with nothing in the subject line and only “subscribe ALDPES Jane Doe” in the body of the message. It should look a bit like this:
