The Urgent Action Network

One of the most important actions you can make as a member of Amnesty International is to help AI focus immediate world attention on acts of injustice and violence.  This seems like a huge task, but through writing letters, along with thousands of other AI members around the world in the Urgent Action Network, abusers of human rights realize that their actions are not going unnoticed.  In some cases, your letters will lead to the victims getting better treatment, or even released.... all this by writing a simple letter.  If you don't have time to do that, Amnesty has a letter that you can print out, sign, and send.

This week's Urgent Actions

If you want to join the Urgent Action Network, please fill out the registration form. However, we ask you to support the Urgent Action Network by becoming a member of Amnesty International and contributing $25 annually. Maintaining this worldwide network is expensive, and Amnesty has to rely on its own resources to run it.

If you decide to participate in the Urgent Action network, you can get the Urgent Actions sent directly to your email address (at no additional charge).  This allows you to receive Urgent Actions just hours after they are issued from Amnesty's London headquarters.
