Beta Alpha Psi Group Golf Lessons
Beta Alpha Psi offers free golf lessons with Barbara Puett to all pledges and actives volunteering as mentors. Barbara, a renowned golf instructor in the Austin area, also teaches golf through Informal Classes.
The first 15 people who sign up every week on the Beta Alpha Psi bulletin board are committed to attending these lessons. If you would like to attend every session, let us know and you will not have to sign up on a weekly basis. However, you must let us know in advance if you will have to miss a lesson so we can fill that spot immediately. By signing your name and not showing up, you are taking a great opportunity away from someone else. In addition, it reflects poorly on us and Beta Alpha Psi will still have to pay Barbara for the absent person.
Lessons take
place every Friday at 11:00 a.m. on Oakhill Driving Range starting on September
24, 1999 unless otherwise noted. We will
open another class (possibly at 2:00 p.m.) depending on demand.
Barbara will email us if there are changes to the schedule or location.
In addition, Barbara will supply golf clubs for everyone so it is not
necessary for you to have or bring your own.
You will have to bring money to rent driving range golf balls.
Directions:
Oakhill driving range is south on MoPac and exit to the right on 71 and
Johnson City Exit and then off immediately at Industrial Oaks and Monterey Oaks
exit. Stay in left hand lane and
make a U-turn under the expressway (going back the other way) and the driving
range is on the right about half a block.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding golf lessons, please email utbap@hotmail.com.
Salt Lick Officer Elections
The annual Beta Alpha Psi social and
election meeting will be held at the Salt Lick on the evening of December 2nd at 6:30 P.M. We encourage everybody to leave a little earlier than usual due to the drive and potential traffic. If you are interested in running for an office, please contact the current individual holding the office and submit a resume and personal statement to them. For a list of officers, click here.Leadership Conference
The Business School is hosting a Leadership Conference on Saturday, November 6 from 9:30 A.M. to 3 P.M. This is a great opportunity to let your voice be heard by the Deans and other leaders in the Business School. In the past, many worthwhile causes, such as the renovation of the Atrium, have resulted from this event. If you are interested in attending, please e-mail Chris Carter .
