May 15, 2006: BESO End of
Year Social - San Antonio, TX
 
 The end of year banquet and
social was full of information, food, and fun. Here we are talking and
coloring. We networked with other BESO members from Texas,
discussed education policy and legislation, interview processes and
preparation, classroom activities, and upcoming BESO and TABE
events. There were chapters from UTSA, UNT, and UT Austin who
attended the event.

June 3, 2006:
Welcome Party for Dr. Soto - Austin, TX
  These are a few snapshots of a few of the poeple. There was a good turn out at the party. We all talked and got to know each other better. It was really nice of Dr. Palmer to open up her house for the get together. |
September 19,
2006: Welcome Ceremony - Austin, TX          Thank you for coming, everyone!!! We had a great time getting to know each other and sociailizing. It was also great to meet the TABE President, Mrs. Connie Guerra. We had a lot of food and refreshments as well as prizes. It was good to meet all the new bilingual majors. On behalf of BESO, welcome to our community. We hope you had a great time : ) |
| Día de Los
Muertos Parade October 28, 2006 Austin, TX Please check back for pictures. Our float had a Loteria theme. Members dressed up as different dead characters from the Mexican bingo game, Loteria. Our float was decorated with loteria cards, a beautiful backdrop, poster sized cards, balloons, and a skeleton playing loteria. The parade started at Plaza Saltillo and went through downtown Austin. We gave out candy to the people watching the parade. |
| Longhorn
Halloween October 29, 2006 Austin, TX 
   
   This year, we participated in Longhorn Halloween at the Frank Erwin Center. We made masks with the children. The children were given a mask to decorate along with candy and stickers. The event had a huge turn out and we were able to see a lot of cute costumes. Thanks to everyone who helped out with this event!! |

| BESO End of Year
Party Saturday, December 9, 2006           
          Food, gifts, games,
and friends. This was a great party. We celebrated another year, the
holidays, and graduations all at once. Have a good break,
everyone ! Happy Holidays !
