General Meeting
Wednesday, April 16th
Election time!! This is the last meeting of the year, and if you want a chance to vote for next years officers, be sure to join us at 7 PM in RLM 6.104. Available positions include: Treasurer, Secretary, Public Relations, Publicity, Social Coordinator, and Webmaster. Please be prepared to give a 1-2 minute speech at the meeting. Email Shannon if you want to run!
Graduate School Admissions with Dr. Roy!
Friday, April 4th
The premeds got their info session with Dr. Tom Caven, and now here's an excellent opportunity to learn about how to apply to graduate school and learn about what admissions officers look for in applications. Of course, some of you may want to come out just to see Dr. Roy. A location will be announced later and the scheduled time is 4-5pm on Friday.
Graduate Student Research Panel
Wednesday, April 2nd
Here's the chance for all you interested in grad school or at least in doing some research. It's no exaggeration to say, "everyone is doing it." So meet some grad students and find out what it's like to work in a lab and even get a chance to find a one to work in! It's during our normal meeting time from 7 - 8pm in RLM 6.104. You don't want to miss it.

Did you like the breakfast tacos last time? Well, they're back! This time, homemade by the Garcia family. Join us between CPE and ETC Monday morning between 9am and 1pm and enjoy breakfast tacos ($1.50) or with juice ($2.00)

Are you ready for camping?? It's time for the annual trip to Palmetto State Park. Ghost stories and s'mores by the campfire... Tasty foods hot off the grill... See the stars! Whatever your reason, come out this Friday and Saturday and take a break from all the studying.

Dr. Tunnell Fireside

BMES will be having a meeting in RLM 6.104 at 7 pm. Tony Taylor, Sr. Vice President of Emergent Technologies, will be speaking at our meeting. Emergent Technologies is a life sciences venture firm that forms and manages companies that commercialize university-based technologies. Come out to also hear about our remaining events and elections! Pizza and drinks will be served.

I know everyone's busy, but you (especially premeds) don't want to miss this Wednesday's meeting featuring Dr. Thomas Caven from Brackenridge. Dr. Caven is a UT graduate who has been chief of a number of Family Practice departments around Austin. He is now serving as the medical director and vice president of Medical Affairs at Brackenridge. If that's not enough for you... there's always free food :) So don't miss it!
