The Insult Booth

March 22-26, 1999

We held an Insult Booth on the West Mall. It was a shitload of fun, and it got us in the Daily Texan. On Wednesday they ran an article about the booth, with a little bit about the group. Basically what we did was sit at the table and ask passers by if they wanted to be insulted. We had a little list of funny insults, and they worked well (for the most part). We also had "Insults to go", little slips of paper with insults on them and the website on the back. The quote in the Texan from Josh was "They're like fortune cookies, but they hurt your feelings." It was a huge sucess. Cha-Chee unknowingly told the Dean of Natural Sciences that he was "full of shit", and I insulted the Dean of Liberal Arts. We also recieved several complaints, which we assume was from people that were truely insulted, and one guy threatened to kick my ass. We gained a lot of publicity from it, so it worked out wonderfully.
