Capoeira Angola Student Group

Capoeira Angola at The University of Texas at Austin

The Capoeira Angola Student group was originally founded in 1998 to further the study of Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian dance/martial art, by sponsoring on-going classes and hosting workshops with visiting mestres.

Come play capoeira

No experience necessary, all are welcome! You do not need to be a current student to attend our classes. Faculty and Staff of UT are welcome. So are all members of the community and visiting capoeiristas. We welcome visitors throughout the semester at all of our classes.

Interested in joining us? Come to a class or email us at capoeira@www.utexas.edu.
