CCA Movie Night + Dragon Boat

Hi guys. Just some quick updates. First of all, we will be having a movie night this Friday, 03/28/09 in UTC 1.146. I hear the movie is great, so come out to watch it. Second, Dragon Boat practices start this weekend. All the practices are listed on the side, but we will only have a trainer this weekend, so try to make it if you are participating in Dragon Boat.
Also, don't forget that officer applications are due April 10, 2009 at 11:59pm. If you have any questions, contact one of the officers (preferrably Jennie).

Updates After a Long Break

Hey guys. Sorry for not updating in a while. I'll start by recapping what's happened in the last few weeks.
So far, we've had both our Second and Third General Meetings, both of which were a lot of fun. Plus, after our Third General Meeting, we all went bowling at the Union Underground, which was awesome! Thanks for everyone who came out! In terms of sports, our Flag Football season unfortunately has come to an end, as we have suffered a few losses and went 1-3 for the season. But that's okay, because it was a great ride while it lasted and everyone had fun! Our Soccer team has had better luck, tieing the first game 1-1 and winning our second game 1-0! Unfortunately, due to the rain, our third game was delayed. Our next game will be on October 29, and we will let you know what happened to the delayed game as soon as we know.
Now to get on with what's coming up. This Thursday, October 23rd, we will be having a fundraiser at Tapioca House from 7:00pm - 11:00pm! We know you're gonna end up there anyways (cause everyone loves tapioca), so come support us! Also, this Saturday, October 25, CCA will be having it's first ever Club Party, in conjunction with JA and TiSA! This is a great opportunity for everyone to party hard, CCA style! Second General Meeting

Hey guys. Thanks to everyone who came out to the Karaoke and Game Night last Friday, I hear it was a blast! So a few updates. We will be having our Second General Meeting on Friday from 5:00pm-7:00pm in UTC 1.146. The theme is Eating Contest, so be ready for that. Also, we will be having our first Soccer Game this Wednesday at 5:00pm at the IM Fields. For more information about soccer, contact Matthew.
In other news, CSA will be hosting the 2008 Mid-Autumn Festival this Friday (October 3, 2008) where CCA will be performing! Also, CSSA will be hosting the 2008 China Night this Saturday (October 4, 2008). If you are interested in attending, make sure to reserve your seats.

First Social Event

Our first social event will be this Friday (09/26/08) from 7:30pm-10:00pm in the Texas Union Showroom. We will have Karaoke, Mahjong, and other games that everyone can play. It will be a lot of fun, so hope you guys can make it!
Also, since the social event will be taking place at the same time that soccer practice does this week, we will have practice on Saturday from 3:00pm-5:00pm at the IM Fields.
One last thing. Our flag football practice will be this Thursday at Clark Field from 6:30pm-8:00pm. We did really well last game, but complacency leads to failure, so we need to keep practicing!
Three Scoops of New

After much thought, we decided that the previous website wasn't aesthetically pleasing. So we present you with this new and improved website! We hope that the site is now easier to read and nicer to look at.
Another big announcement is that we have two new officers! We welcome Harry Liu and Kevin Yang onto the team as our Historians. Congratulations guys, and good luck on the upcoming year!
And lastly, we finally have our t-shirt design finalized!
We hope you like the design. We should be getting the t-shirts very soon, so stay tuned for updates on it. That's all for now. We hope to see you guys tomorrow at Dumpling Night!
First CCA Flag Football Game - 27-0!

So our first flag football game was today against OSSA - and we won with a score of 27 - 0! Congratulations to everyone who played on the team!
The next flag football practice will be on Saturday, September 20 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Clark Field. The next game isn't until September 28. Check out our Sports section for more information on Flag Football and all the other sports we play.
General Meeting 1 (Dumpling Night)
