Dear Parent and Friend:

The Chabad House at the University of Texas is an extremely active non-profit Jewish organization offering students the opportunity to participate in all aspects of college life from social events to religious gatherings to community service.

Our goal is for students to stay involved with Judaism throughout their college years and beyond.Through our various programs and events, students are able to kindle their inner spiritual flame as well as form everlasting relationships with fellow UT Jews.

Since we offer our services to students free of charge, we need your financial support to continue offering the same level of high quality programming. Here is a brief list of some of the projects and events that we will be working on next semester:

Renovation Campaign- We have embarked on a major renovation project of our 110 year-old historic building, we have expanded our sanctuary and repaired the foundation; however, we need funding to remodel the kitchen, upgrade the plumbing and restore the interior and exterior of the building.

Shabbat Meals and Services- Each and every Friday night, students of all levels of observance come together for Kabblat Shabbat services followed by a multi-course gourmet kosher dinner.

High Holiday and major Jewish festival as Passover Seders and Matzah Factory- As always Chabad will be having High holiday services and festive meals such as Passover Seders and meals throughout the entire holiday for those students who are staying at UT in addition to our annual Matzah Factory where students can come make and experience baking Matzah.

Can we count on you just as your child can count on us? As the next generation of Jews go out into the world they need to be prepared both academically as well as spiritually to fight life’s many tough battles while at the same time preserving our treasured faith.By supporting Chabad of Austin, you will help ensure that students have a strong Jewish institution on the University of Texas campus for years to come.
