Every week any and all Jewish students are invited to spend Shabbos at Chabad House on campus. services, which including singing (sometimes even dance) in a warm chassidic atmosphere, follows after candle lighting and then a delicious full course meal follows, which includes -- but is not limited to -- kiddush wine, challah, gefilte fish, soup 'n matzah balls, chicken and kugel and desert; all spiced with discussions and song, and... you never know who may be spending the Shabbos with you at Chabad.

In the fall/winter Shabbos meals will begin at approximately 7:00pm so please plan to stay at least until 9:00. Services should begin at 6:15 (winter). Women and girls are invited to light the candles 18 minutes before sunset: more information is provided in the next heading.

Saturday morning services begin at 10:00 am, including Torah reading. then follows a meal, the menu including most items of the previous night plus cholent. Minchah usually follows thereafter, minyan permitting.

Community members are also always welcome, although we request RSVP's in advance and any contributions as are possible to support our Shabbos outreach efforts to Austin-area students.
