With the experience of doing this once already, we should be set for a
successful night of fun, food, and fundraising!
20% of the money on receipts we collect into a jar will go towards
College Republicans, so please encourage friends to come and eat!

The Role of the Republican Party throughout African American History
at Cold Stone Creamery (2828 Guadalupe St)

Come celebrate African American History Month with ice cream! What role
did Republicans play during slavery, segregation, and civil rights?
What role do Republicans play now? Enjoy the taste of Cold Stone
Creamery, while socializing and engaging in the discussion.
25% of the total sales during this event will be donated to the College
Republicans at Texas for the bringing of Alan Keyes to speak at the UT
campus.

US Congress District 10 Republican Primary Debate
8-10pm
Texas Union Ballroom (on UT Campus)
The new Texas districts are final, and District 10, which stretches from
Austin to Houston, will likely produce a new Republican for US Congress.
Several candidates are running in the Republican primary. Who will you
vote for? Hear the candidates for yourself and make an informed
decision.

Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson to speak to the College Republicans
Wednesday, April 7th, 2004

Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson has served as the Commissioner of the
General Land Officer since November 5, 2002 and he is the 27th to do so.
He
was also a U.S. Marine for over twenty years and served as state Senator for six
years.
He
is a very respected Republican and his legislative successes included passage of
the historic
concealed handgun law, the state coastal management plan, the creation of the
Texas State Veterans Home Program, and a constitutional amendment
allowing home equity lending.
