Lantern Festival

The Lantern Festival is celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month on the Chinese Lunar Calendar, which is the last day of the fifteen-day Chinese New Year celebration. It's called the lantern festival because traditionally, children carry lit lanterns to temples at night.

CSA celebrates Lantern Festival yearly with activities, performances, prizes, and food. Sometimes CSA works conjunction with the Asian American Culture Committee (AACC) to put on the Lunar New Year Celebration.
