WHO IS THE HOUSE MANAGER?

The House is managed by Jakub and Emily. Just try the G.H. number and leave a message if neither of them is home. Emailing, the email listed above, is the best way to get in touch with us.

I NEED HELP WITH SOMETHING AND THE HOUSE MANAGER IS NOT AROUND. WHAT DO I DO?

If you have an urgent question that needs to be answered, try asking some other house residents. Many have lived here for a while and will be able to help you with most issues. If they can't help you, perhaps they can point you in the right direction.

WHAT ARE THE RATES?

The hostel rate is $22 per night. If you stay more than 7 nights, the rate will be lowered to $20. If you stay a whole month or longer you pay a standard monthly fee of $455 for a double, and between $540 for a single room plus AC.

DO I HAVE TO DO LABOR EVEN IF I'M HERE FOR A FEW DAYS?

Yes! This Coop is built on the notion that working together helps us run the Coop efficiently and economically. A job list is posted somewhere in the dining room (on the bulletin boards). If there are no open spots, ask around (we can always use an extra hand)!

IS THERE A PUBLIC PHONE IN THE G.H.?

There are two phones in the G. H. that can be used by everyone. Local calls are free, for long-distance and international calls, you will have to buy a prepaid phone card at one of the shops in the area.

WHEN ARE MEALS SERVED?

Meals are provided every Sunday-Friday at 7.00 P.M. All other times, you have full access to our general foods, and you are free to cook for yourself anything you¹d like. Moreover, if you choose to buy your own food, you can keep it in our small private fridge.

HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT'S GOING WITH THE HOUSE AND GET TO MEET EVERY ONE.

In the summer, house meetings will be held every two weeks in order to keep everybody updated on what¹s going on. Attendance is mandatory.

CAN I APPLY TO LIVE IN THE GERMAN HOUSE FOR THE LONG SESSION?

Yes! Applications are available from any of the house-managers. Please fill out the application and post it on the bulletin board in the dining room. As a rule, we usually accept applicants applying for both Fall and Spring Semester, but exceptions have been made before.
