Deutsches Haus News - February 2003

A heartfelt goodbye to Dorothea and Scott. Good to know that
it's a temporary farewell because y'all'll come back - be it as
Ph.D. student, be it as alumnus.
Ali (member 87-91) and Monika (85-90) came back and
brough with them their children and - who knows - future
members Amina und Naomi

The regime of dichotomous rice (either too soggy or too hard)
are over thanks to this rice cooker, donated by Ashley's mom.
Thank you very much.
Donation from Alvin: "Go my froggies. Be fruitful and multiply. Hop to a corner and hide. They can never catch all of you. (And thus a second plague of frogs was visited upon the house ...)"

Historic snapshot:
There must have been better times in the German House when people dined with ties. But we still have the same old metal bowls.
Does anyone recognize anyone?

We strive to present images of current events on this page - ideally every month. If you would like to see a picture from a certain corner of the house, please share your idea with the Webmaster. If you are interested in previous news releases check out our archive.
