April 2006

Oh so much to do, sports, and trips, and parties and spring cleaning, and oh, yeah school!!

German House works hard and plays harder. For German House, April meant some spring cleanning. Twice a year all members get together and make the house clean and beautiful. Thank you members for all your hard work! April is also the start of the Austin heat wave. We cooled off by going to the parks around Austin and to the beach.

Clean Up day at German House means business. Here we have Thomas detail cleanning the public fridge.

All work and no play made Alex I put on a dust mask, go to the roof, and throw away old furniture. Don't worry future members, this man has since left German House. We will miss you Alex.

Working in the garden is tough work but very rewarding. Thanks to our garden crew, we now have a vegetable and fruit garden with an assortment of chili peppers, watermelons, and strawberries.

Spring Cleanning meant getting rid of all that stuff you've been holding onto, but don't really need. How much junk can German House accumulate over one year? A lot.

To escape the Austin heat, a few members deicide to cool off by taking a trip to Mckinney Falls.

Renato (an old house member and second from left), convinced the German House to play softball. Anil, guy with the funny hat, ran around the bases holding onto the bat during our first practice!!

Our new member, Sarah, invited us to her house in Rockport, Texas, on the beach!! Here is the German House group with her mom and dad, Karen and Guy. Thank You so much for your hospitality!

We celebrated Easter with an Easter Brunch, complete with a recreation of German House in sweets form. Did the rabbit come back?
