Maka and Olivier have
left the house. We will miss them alot.
Most of January people
were off to different places of travel. The most popular destination:
Deustchland. Then we had some people go to the fromagerie some people
like to call France - rumors of a German House "get-together" in an
unknown place in the Gaullist state. Some people went down to Panama,
and of course, someone had to stay and guard the fort. See more info
below...

| Nemo likes to
come out of his fishbowl in winter, which is fine with us
because we're tired of dropping his food in the fishbowl all
the time. Besides, he's good company during hard times. In
this picture he's keeping company to Alexandre von Osterreich
during his MP3 homework assignment. |

| Here's part of the crew opening some late
packages, including a sweater for Jo, sexy white tennis shoes for
Thomas, and a good old bottle of booze for our house pet, the
fish. This fish (one hell of a catch by the way) came out of his bowl one winter and just stayed
there, glued to the wall, with a bottle of booze. We consider
it a reserve of food in case we run out of milk and bread.
Honestly, we have a fish fetish in this house. Which is fine. Fish
tastes good. |

| Michael Jackson
says: Schlitz tastes good. Yes, the King of Pop speaks German. |

 |
| What a happy-happy bunch! Here we have Andreas, Maka, Alex, Anil, Shimon (oh yea!) and Riiiiittis
having a grand old time in the German House country club. |

During the January break Riittis climbed the highest peak of
Panama, Volcan Baru. Here she is, a Finnish atop the clouds,
meditating about all the fun times she has had at the German
House (known as "La German" down in Panama.) |

Here we see Riitta again, having a well deserved ice desert.
Yes, this picture was taken in Panama. If you look closely,
you can see the humidity in the air. Luis is clearly very
excited about the icy treat as well. |

| Here's the entire
Panama expedition, looking retro in this rather discolored
picture. Anna is pointing at the snake that had just gone into the
bushes, a very colorful and poisonous one. And the rest of us,
well, you know, we like the flowers. |

| Although Giovanni is
not an official German House member, he has come to make
revolution. Well, more likely, he came to learn revolution. The
German House is a very egalitarian society: we all eat the same
food, use the same bathrooms, and even share our occasional bad
moods. Anyways, we caught a glimpse of the famous guerrillero
while traversing the jungled highlands of Panama and he acquiesced
to our picture demands. |
