The University Flying Club is open to anyone with an interest in aviation. Although a large percentage of our members are University of Texas students, we welcome those who are not enrolled or employed at UT as associate members with all privileges.
Membership dues are $50 per semester or $80 per year for UT students; $60 per semester or $100 per year for non-UT associates.

Flight instruction: UFC works with local instructors to provide excellent flight training for the beginner and advanced pilot.
Flyouts: Our upcoming activities are on the home page. Every year, we compete in a flour bombing contest with the Flying Aggies from Texas A&M and other colleges. Our flyouts (airplane road trips) are an aviation buff's dream: back-stage tours of headquarters and maintenance facilities at major airlines such as Continental and Southwest, trips to Lockheed Martin's fighter factory, Gulf Coast beaches, campouts in state parks (the ones that come with runways), BBQ runs to famous Central Texas joints, and many other fun events.
The cost of a flyout is determined by dividing the planes' rental costs by the number of participants. All UFC members receive a 1/3 discount from this price.
Meetings: Every month when school is in session, we hold informal meetings open to all members. This is a great place to share the latest hangar stories and hang out with fellow pilots and aviation buffs. Food and beverages are provided by the club, and we often have interesting speakers from the aviation community.
The University Flying Club is funded solely by member dues. UFC receives no financial support from the University of Texas. All profits incurred by UFC are used to finance aircraft rentals and to sponsor club's social activities. Club officers do not receive any form of financial compensation.
UFC works with Above & Beyond Aviation, which owns or leases two Cessna 152, two Cessna 172, and one Piper Arrow aircraft.
