GRADUATE STUDENT ASSEMBLY

Public Relations Coordinator Candidate

Sure, I would love to run for public relations..
Here's a litte about me...

I am a first year law student at UT, getting a joint degree in Middle Eastern Studies. As an undergraduate student, I ran a political student organization called "Texans for Israel". I reinvigorated membership, increased publicity, and basically put our name back in the forum of campus dialogue. As President, I was in charge of representing the organization by talking to members of the press, publicizing events, not to mention planning and organizing the events themselves.
As the organization had all but disappeared before I took over, I put together a leadership board that continues to lead the organization to this date- the organization has been nominated both for best political organization and best overall organization swing out awards. Through all this, I maintained a 4.0 GPA in Government. I am very committed to the University of Texas. I will have three degrees from UT when I graduate from law/graduate school in 2007.
Finally, I find that communication between students, elected assembly members, faculty, and staff is essential to make the UT experience as valuable as it has been to me and all the many MANY other students here at UT.
