REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of the following UT courses or the equivalent (a transcript will be required to verify completion of the below-mentioned courses):

Classes
• 6 hours of Biology
   • Either
      • BIO 311C Intro Bio I
      • BIO 311D Intro Bio II
   • Or
      • BIO 211 Intro to Bio: Cell Biology
      • BIO 212 Intro to Bio: Genetics & Evolution
      • BIO 214 Intro to Bio: Structure & Function of Organisms
• Medical and Scientific Terminology (***See footnote)
   • CC 306M or CC 336M

Volunteer
• A minimum of 80 hours of college volunteer experience in a hospital or clinical setting
   • Verification of hours will be required from the volunteer department(s) where the hours were acquired
   • Hospitals outside Austin, GMT trips, and the UHS are all appropriate clinical settings
   • Please note that employment hours do not count towards the volunteer hours requirement

Recommendation Letter
• 1 letter from a UT-Austin professor

Schedule
• A list of tentative activities is needed for the upcoming semester
   • This list should include planned coursework and times as well as extracurricular activities and/or employment
• You must have at least 8 hours (in at least 4 hour blocks) available in the mornings to shadow
