In partial horse burials only the skull, the leg bones and the skin of the horse were placed in the grave. In addition to the horse, the harness and the saddle were also added. Only men were buried with their horse, although in a few and exceptional cases, bones of other animals, such as sheep or cattle, were also found in graves.
