Swing Out Awards Announced:

IDSA wins the Most Improved Student Organization Award!

The University of Texas Leadership Board (UTLB) announced the winners of the 2005 Swing Out Awards Thursday, April 7 as part of the Texas Revue program on the Main Mall.

We're honored of the Most Improved Student Organization Award by UTLB.

UTLB hosts and presents the annual Swing Out Awards each spring to recognize outstanding registered student organizations. Because all registered student organizations are welcome to apply, a Swing Out award is one of the highest honors an organization can receive at UT Austin.

The awards are given in nine organizational categories: Cultural, Spirit, Departmental/Academic, Political/Activist, Professional, Recreational, Service, Social, and Artistic. Awards are also given in three special categories: Best New Organization, Most Improved, and Most Outstanding on campus.

The winning organization in each category receives a Swing Out Award Winner banner with the organization's name, 10 Swing Out Award Winner t-shirts for its members, and a cash prize. The bright teal banners of last year's award winners have become a noticeable and familiar sight on the West Mall.
