Dinner at Austin Presbyterian

Iftar at Austin Presbyterian Seminary was organized with the help of Dr. Whitney Bodman, faculty at the Seminary. Seminary students and staff had a fast-breaking dinner with IID members in a warmly atmosphere. Attendees had a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas about Ramadan, fasting and interfaith dialog while having delicious food.

After the dinner, a representative from IID, made a presentation about Islam and interfaith dialog. He talked about common misconceptions about Islam, the examples from Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) about interfaith dialog and tolerance and IID's mission and its activities. He gave the example that a Christian delegation from Yemen visited Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) and when they needed to pray Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) let them to pray in the mosque.
