This organization focuses on international students who would like to have dinner one time per month at a specific family's home in Austin, Texas. The goal is to provide a long term friendship for international students who come to UT to school. Their host family will be provided through our student community connection and all students are welcome to sign up. Our community connection is an organization established in 1960 to provide host families for international students. To learn more about that group, go to www.ihcaustin.com
Through our host families we will also develop parties for groups of 10 or
more to visit a ranch, have barbeque, learn some of the Texas traditions and to share similaries and differences of their homeland and Austin. Sometimes the host family will take you to a picnic, a play, a concert at LaGuna Gloria or a football game.
