Purpose of the Council

To identify the needs of international students at the University and assist in locating the means to meet these needs; including the provision of appropriate services
To voice the concerns of and act as an advisory mechanism on behalf of the international students to the International Office, Student Government, and Administration of the University of Texas at Austin
To promote the communication, understanding, and cooperation between ISC member organizations, foster the integration of international community at the University by organizing intercultural events and programs
To assist international students to connect with appropriate international student groups and act as an organization for students originating from the countries that do not have an international student group on campus. Spawn and assist the development of new international student groups
To promote international student group identification on campus, and further the integration of international students into the University community at large
To foster the organizational development of international student groups by leadership experience exchange programs among ISC member organizations
