Our Philosophy:

The Libertarian philosophy states that every person has the right to live his life as he sees fit, as long as he does not infringe on the rights of others. We are neither a leftist nor a rightist party, but we believe in both personal and economic freedom.

Persuasion is the best way to achieve social goals, not coercion through taxes or laws. We think adults have the right choose what to say, read, eat, buy, how we arm ourselves, and how we want our kids educated.  Necessarily, these rights imply an acceptance of the responsibility for our actions.

Libertarians are also capitalists and not afraid to admit it. A society has to have free markets in order to call itself free. The money you earn is yours, not something you are "allowed" to keep. Free markets also mean more wealth for everyone, so fewer people will have to rely on government handouts.  Those who are truly incapable of helping themselves can rely on family or private charities, which are much more capable of helping the needy than government agencies.  Social Security, Medicare, and Welfare can only help one group at the expense of another, under the threat of force. This is unjust and immoral.
