Good day (or night) to everyone. My name is Isaac Miller, and I am your current LPPA President. I was born in Laredo, Texas, moved to Aspen, Colorado at the age of 3, then to Corpus Christi at 8, then back to Aspen at 13, and finally settled here in Texas. I am a true believer of smiles. If you ever catch me without a smile, it is only because I was in class or studying (but I probably will still be smiling). I love challenges, outdoor activities, playing any sport, and sometimes when I have real free time (which is scarce) I just sit back and play some video games with my pals.
Being in LPPA has sculpted my experiences and success here at UT. This is an organization that not only cares about each and everyone of its members, but also the community. I have learned so much from this organization, and I am more than thrilled to be a part of it and have the opportunity to aid in keeping LPPA such a successful organization. If anyone has any question about LPPA or needs a laugh, feel free to contact me. Hey there! My name is Elina Shtreyzman, and I am elated to represent LPPA as your new Vice President for the 2011-2012 school year. I am a senior and proud longhorn at the University of Texas at Austin. I was born in Moldova, a country next to Russia, and moved to the big ole state of Texas when I was just a toddler. I love to be outdoors, explore new Austin venues, and enjoy all the delicious foods that this city has to offer!
This past year LPPA has encouraged me to grow as an individual in a community with people who have a shared interest in pharmacy. I cannot begin to explain the exciting experiences, friendships, and knowledge I have gained through participating in LPPA which, in turn, have strengthened my desire to contribute to the community. As vice president, I hope you can turn to me with any of your questions, concerns and most importantly suggestions. Even more, as an email fanatic I would love keep contact with each and every member and assist in any way that I can. More than an anything I am looking forward to what is to come this year as LPPA grows as a whole!

Hi everyone! My name is Joycelyn Ng and I am currently a 4th year at the University of Texas at Austin. I am from Sugar Land, Texas and some things that makes me happy are shopping, eating, and traveling!! I may be small, but I can eat more than you think. ;) I love meeting new people, so don’t be scared to come find me and talk to me! I’d be more than happy to help you guys with any concerns or questions that you may have throughout the school year.
I am so excited to serve as this year’s LPPA secretary! I have been really involved with LPPA last semester and I am really glad I got the chance to meet so many great pre-pharmacy students. It’s always nice to know other people that are going through the same experience as you during the pre-pharmacy years. LPPA has given me so many opportunities such as expanding my networks, as well as constantly updating me with pharmacy information, which I find really helpful. I want to give back to the organization and I am so thankful that you guys gave me the chance to serve as your secretary for this school year! Hello LPPAers! My name is Aniqa Lokhandwala. I’m definitely not as intimidating as my last name may seem to be! (If you’re wondering how to pronounce it, don’t hesitate to ask!) I am thrilled to be able to serve LPPA and its members as the Treasurer for the 2011-2012 school year! I was born in Houston, Texas and moved to San Antonio when I was four years old. I am a junior at The University of Texas at Austin this year I’ve fallen more and more in love with this school every year. Hook ‘em! I love meeting new people, hate shopping, and love playing video games. (Weird, I know). I also love eating, so you’ll never find me without my food bag. Come ask me about it, maybe I’ll share some with you!
Last year I was the fundraising chair for LPPA and I learned so many things about being treasurer. I’m excited to finally be able to implement everything I’ve learned and even more. I understand that money is a valuable asset and I can assure you that I’ll take good care of LPPA’s accounts. Being in LPPA has really helped me grow as a person. It has also taught me so many things about the pharmaceutical profession that I’ve grown to love it even more. Joining LPPA has been one of the best decisions I’ve made at UT because of how many opportunities it has opened up for me in terms of meeting new people, learning about pharmacy, and networking. It’s a great organization filled with great people who all share a common goal. I’m excited to meet all of the new and returning members this year!

Aloha everyone! My name is Jenny Ma, and this is my third year here at the one and only University of Texas at Austin! I am from Houston, Texas, and there are many things I like to do and experience! I have a passion for music, especially indie rock! I played the piano and was in choir for seven years. I also travel in and out of the country a lot with my family, and I love taking pictures at events. Oh! And I love food! In fact, I think I eat out more than I cook at home. So don’t ever be shy to ask me out to lunch Haha jk
I am so honored to be your LPPA historian this 2011-2012 school year. This organization has taught me and other members so much and I hope you will gain as much or even more from it as the year proceeds. I’ve met many bright and outgoing pre- pharmacy students that have now become my friends. One of the most important things I’ve learned in LPPA was that it is important to communicate with people in the pharmacy world. Communicating is inevitable! So this year my job is to get you to come out to our social events and interact with the members of LPPA! I hope you take this great opportunity to get informed and involved. My name is Sherman Kuan. I will be your LPPA liaison for the 2011-2012 academic year. I am currently a P2 student here at the college of pharmacy. I was in LPPA for two years prior to starting in pharmacy and I still love this organization as much as I did. My job now as the liaison is to provide the link between the college of pharmacy and this pre-pharmacy organization. This year, we’re going to involve LPPA members in more pharmacy organization events as a way to improve networking and also broaden the variety of experiences you’re all exposed to.
