Hello! My name is Andrew Thach, and I am currently a junior at the greatest university in the world. I'm from Houston, and I have lots of love for my Houston Rockets. I love exploring, taking pictures, and enjoying the little things in life. I usually have lots of things to juggle, but I will always have time to stop and chat. If you randomly see me, don’t be afraid to say hi!
I am so excited to serve as your LPPA president! The officers and I have so much planned for the 2010-2011 school year! I hope you take advantage of everything we have to offer. LPPA has something for everyone: volunteer events, IM games, socials, meetings, leadership opportunities, pharmacy school admission information, and much more. LPPA is a large organization, but do not be afraid to meet and chat with your fellow members. I’ve met my best friends through LPPA. Hello, my name is Joel Canizales, and I am currently a junior at the one and only University of Texas at Austin. I was born and raised in Eagle Pass, Texas, and don’t worry, I won’t hold a grudge against any of you if you don’t know where that is. I am a pretty easy-going guy and am always willing to take on new opportunities and challenges. On my spare time, I like to hang out with my friends, watch TV, and partake in any kind of recreational activity, such as sports. Although the school year usually leaves me with very little spare time, I am always willing to help out a friend in need, especially LPPA members!
For the past two years, I have been heavily involved with the Longhorn Pre-Pharmacy Association and have gotten so many things out of it. LPPA has provided me with numerous friendships and various opportunities that I didn’t think were possible. As your Vice-President, I want to make sure that all LPPA members get to have the same experience that I had and that LPPA provides everyone with enriching opportunities.
I hope to see you all in LPPA this upcoming school year! I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you. Hi guys! My name is Tiffany Nguyen, and I am thrilled to be your LPPA Secretary for the 2010-2011 school year! My home town is Sugar Land, and my life is pretty much centered around my family and friends. I love playing all kinds of games, listening to music through all sorts of outlets, and eating until my tummy can't handle any more.
I'm truly looking forward to this upcoming year, as the other officers and I have big plans that we hope will help you in a variety of ways! LPPA offers not only advice and information on pharmacy school and pharmaceutical careers, but also volunteer and social events where you get to meet other students with similar interests. Hello everyone. My name is Joseph Brewster and I am your 2010-11 Treasurer for the LPPA! :) I was born in Kansas, City and moved to Germany for 3 year, then Virginia for 3 years, and have been in Texas ever since. (As you probably can tell, I’m a military child). I am extremely social and love to have fun. In my spare time, I like to hang with friends, mime, and play games of all sorts (board, bowling, sports, etc.). I love to have fun, but I also know when to be serious. You will get to know really soon that I’m a really fun person to be around.
I’m so excited that you have an interest in the LPPA!! We are so glad to have you! This organization has done wonders for me. I have learned a plethora of information concerning Pharmacy, Pharmacy school, and the organization itself. By far, the best organization I have been in!! Good day (or night) to everyone. My name is Isaac Miller, and I am your current LPPA Historian. I was born in Laredo, Texas, moved to Aspen, Colorado at the age of 3, then to Corpus Christi at 8, then back to Aspen at 13, and finally back to Texas in good, old little town Hondo at 14 and been there since *takes a breath*. I am not a military baby, but had very adventurous parents. I am a true believer of smiles. If you ever catch me without a smile, it is only because I was in class or studying, haha! I love challenges, outdoor activities, playing any sport, and sometimes when I have real free time (which is scarce) I just sit back and play some video games.
Being in LPPA is one of my top highlights of my experiences in UT. This is an organization that not only cares about each and everyone of its members, but also the community. I have learned so much from this organization, and I am more than thrilled to be a part of it and have the opportunity to aid in keeping LPPA such a successful organization. If anyone is ever in need of help or needs a laugh, feel free to come up to me. My name is Paul Sahagian; I will be your LPPA liaison for the 2010-2011 academic year. I am currently a P2 student here at the college of pharmacy. I was in LPPA for two years prior to starting in pharmacy and I still love this organization as much as I did. My job now as the liaison is to provide the link between the college of pharmacy and this pre-pharmacy organization. This year, we’re going to involve LPPA members in more pharmacy organization events as a way to improve networking and also broaden the variety of experiences you’re all exposed to.
