Orange Jackets Membership Application
As members of an active honorary organization, Orange Jackets are selected for their achievements and activities in the areas of service, leadership and scholarship.- Scholarship: Minimum 3.0 GPA, with no more than seven long semesters already completed and plans to remain at UT for three more long semesters
- Leadership: Demonstration of leadership skills and responsibility
- Service: Commitment to campus and community affairs with a desire to help others and contribute to the University
All members are required to attend weekly Wednesday meetings from 5:00-6:00 p.m., as well as tappee meetings on Wednesdays from 6:00-6:30 p.m.
As new members of the organization, tappees are also required to fulfill all Orange Jacket service requirements, which include planning and executing a Tappee project, committing to a semester-long service project beginning in the spring, and additional one-time group service projects throughout the semester.
