General Information Regarding PSA Cricket Tournament – Fall 2007

1. Each team must have a maximum of 5 players.

2. Participation Fee:
      $ 2 for PSA members
      $ 4 for Non-PSA members
      $ 10 to sign-up a team

3. You can pay the fee online at this page using the link provided below. Your registration will not be complete if your payment is not received by the deadline. To ensure that your team is included in the match timetable, you must pay the fees before the deadline.

4. Individual participants interested in playing but unable to find themselves a team still have to register as an individual (see registration below) and will be put on a random team.

5. Registration Deadline: 11:59PM, Wednesday, November 14, 2007

6. Teams will play their matches on Saturday afternoon. We will try to finish the tournament on Saturday but the finals may have to be postponed to Sunday, depending on how much we get done on Saturday.

Rules and regulations of the tournament are posted at the bottom of this page.

Rules and Regulations for the PSA Cricket Tournament – Fall 2007

1. All ICC rules regarding the code of conduct of players will be followed. Please note that the umpires have full authority to disqualify a player from a match the tournament in case of unnecessary roughness, sledging or inappropriate behavior. The power to decide what qualifies for unnecessary roughness, sledging or inappropriate behavior also rests with the umpire.

2. All ICC rules of play will be followed except for the few exceptions listed below - Only 5 players play for a team - Matches will be 5 overs/ innings - A batsman can not be adjudged LBW - Bowlers will be allowed a maximum of 2 overs/ innings

3. The one legal bouncer over rule stands in the PSA Tournament.

4. One player can only play for one team.

5. Teams arriving late will not be allowed to play their match. A walkover will be given to the opposing team arriving on time. In case of both teams showing up late, match will be considered a drawn game.

6. In case of two teams ending up with the same number of points, the one with the better run-rate will advance. In case of a drawn tied semi-final, the team with a better run-rate including the semi-final will advance.

7. The decision taken by a PSA official will be considered final.

8. The rules of the Spanish Oaks ground will be explained before the start of the tournament. The rules differ from the normal ICC rules.
