Fall 2008 Elections

Dear PSAers,

After a successful Basant, PSA is again buzzing with activity. We are having our elections for officers’ positions for the Fall 2008 semester. Please note the following details about the elections:

Date: April 23rd, 2008

Time: 7:00 PM

Location: The Chicano Cultural Room in Texas Union

Online votes should be sent at utpsa2008@gmail.com. Online voting starts at 12:01 AM on April 23rd and ends at 5:00 PM the same day.

You have to be a paid member to vote. You can pay your dues online at the members payment page or on the day of elections. The dues are only $5 for the rest of the year.

PSA Updates!!!

Dear PSA Stars,

Basant is getting close, and PSA is bustling with energy like never before. Its amazing to see so many people getting involved in Basant this year and each of them deserve kudos for their contribution in their respective committees.

I have the following quick updates for you this week:

1. 2nd GBM/Basant Planning Meeting
Our 2nd General Body Meeting cum 3rd Basant Planning meeting will be held on Thursday, March 27 at 7 PM at PAR 201. We will announce the future events and discuss some important issues regarding Basant.

2. Forty Acres Fest
Our booth in the Forty Acres Fest, which is on April 5th, will be a dhaba. We will need volunteers to help us set it up and sell the food. Anyone interested in helping us out should email to Umair at mohammad.umair.azam@gmail.com.

3. Fashion Show Rehearsals
There is still time to participate in Basant Fashion Show. If you haven’t registered yet, come to our next fashion show rehearsal on April 3rd, at 7 PM at The Quadrangle Room in TX Union.

4. Publicity Week
We will be DESPERATELY needing volunteers to help us table during the week of April 7 to April 11 for Basant publicity. So all the interested parties should email Saina Hussain at saina_h@mail.utexas.edu with dates and timings that you can table during this week so that she can sign you guys up for tabling.

On an ending note, I would like to reemphasize how much we need your help at this time and are expecting you to be proactive in helping us to make this year’s Basant a night no one will forget!
