Rock the Casbah is the Palestine Solidarity Committee’s well known fundraiser party, which we hold about once per semester. We usually hold our fundraisers at a co-op or house near the university, and start breaking it down around party time (about 11pm). We play music that covers a wide spectrum, which in the past has included Hip Hop, Arab Pop, 80’s, Persian Pop, and Rock, among others. Typically admission for the party is $5 (drinks and snacks included), with a third of donations going to humanitarian relief (such as Gaza) and the rest supporting the work of the Palestine Solidarity Committee.

Just as we are passionate about standing up for justice, we are also passionate when it comes to having some fun, meeting new folks, and breaking a sweat on the dance floor so keep checking back for our next Rock the Casbah event and be sure to tell your friends!
