P.S.C. To Palestine
Experience the Realities of Palestinian Life
At our educational events or political rallies, it is not unusual for one of our members to be asked, “Sure, you know the politics, but have you actually been there?”
Recently, the Palestine Solidarity Committee has been working to make the answer to that question a resounding “Yes!” through our ambitious delegation program. Since 2005,
we have sent a member of our organization to Palestine during the summer to witness the occupation firsthand. In the past, our member’s have worked closely with or participated
in the Middle East Children Alliance’s delegation program.
In the summer of 2005, we sent former PSC co-chair Sterling Garmon as our delegate. You can read an excerpt from his journal,
or contact him to ask about his experiences. In 2006, we sent former co-chair Colin Kalmbacher.
Through our delegation program, we are educating our membership on the realities of life in occupied Palestine and the personal, everyday struggles to get by.
We are also investing in our human resources on the UT Campus and working towards building bridges between the Austin community and Palestine by forging personal
links between local Americans and those living under the thumb of Israeli occupation. Please help us by donating to our delegation program below,
or contact us if you are interested in volunteering to be a delegate.
