C.A.R.E. Week

C.A.R.E. (Cancer Awareness: A Real Effort) Week is a week long series of events promoting the education and awareness of cancer. It is held annually in the spring. Events that are held include:

 

Kick-Off Rally
Candlelight Vigil
Restaurant Fundraiser
Mr. C.A.R.E. Week Pageant
C.A.R.E. Week Charity Party

 

Each year, any and all proceeds raised from C.A.R.E. Week are donated to a cancer charity. Over the course of the past years, Kappa Phi Gamma has donated to the following organizations:

MD Anderson Cancer Center (1999)
Candlelighter's Childhood Cancer Foundation (2000)
Make A Wish Foundation (2001)
Kelly Davidson Foundation (2002)
Lance Armstrong Foundation (2003)

Nargis Dutt Cancer Foundation (2004)
Seton Sancer Care Team (2005)
Cancer Care Services (2006)
Lance Armstrong Foundation(2007)
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (2008)
The American Cancer Society (2009)

 

In the past 9 years, Founding Chapter has raised over $35,000!!!
Nationally, Kappa Phi Gamma has raised about $64,000!!!
