Welcome to Rush 2009!
Interested in joining Phi Lamb, or just finding out a little more about us? Come to Rush, held September 8th through 11th, and all 90's themed. Times and locations are:
Tuesday, September 8th: UT Rec Sports Center, 6 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday and Thursday, September 9th & 10th: Anna Hiss Gym, 6 to 8 p.m.
Friday, September 11th: A special, off-campus soiree!
No commitment is required to attend Rush. Also, you are not required to attend every night of Rush. If for some reason, you cannot attend any rush events, but would still like to join Phi Lamb, feel free to contact our Rush Captains, Beth Waldman and Andrea Thorne.
Membership is open to any female University of Texas at Austin student, who is pursuing or wanting to pursue a closer relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
No individual will be refused membership on the grounds of race, national origin, age, handicap, appearance, or social status.
Pledge Requirements:
1. She must be under or seeking the covering of a church home.
2. She must be actively involved in a Bible study.
3. She must attend 80% of the pledge and active meetings.
4. She must pay semester dues to Sigma Phi Lambda
5. She must attend the pledge retreat.
6. She must attend Phi Lamb prayer group once a week.
7. She must fulfill her service requirement.
At the end of her pledgeship (one semester), she must attend the initiation ceremony. This ceremony is held in a church and there is never any hazing.
