PNS Cleaning Day!! (5/17)

The Excellence Awards Banquet is a special event designed to recognize and celebrate academic & community service achievements made by the EOE Student community throughout the year. Program highlights:

Dean of Engineering acknowledges graduating seniors.
Pi, NSBE, & SHPE recognize outstanding members.
Two hundred undergraduate engineering students from the EOE community, faculty, staff and 32 industry representatives attend.
Select community college students are invited to attend the banquet as special guests.
EOE Texas Research Experience (TREX) Student Poster Showcase.

Next Banquet will be on Thursday, April 26, 2012. The registration for industry representative and students opens on April 1, 2012.

The Equal Opportunity in Engineering (EOE) Program at The University of Texas at Austin presents:

My Introduction to Engineering (MITE) Summer Camp

Session 1: June 3-8, 2012

Session 2: June 10-15, 2012

MITE is a five day residential program that presents current high school sophomores and juniors (2011-2012 academic year) with the opportunity to discover engineering through hands-on activities and interaction with engineering students, faculty, staff and alumni. All program expenses are paid with the exception of travel to and from UT Austin.

MITE participants:

-Receive information about UT admissions, financial aid, housing and scholarship availability

-Attend interactive workshops highlighting each discipline of engineering

-Tour research facilities and work on a team design project to reinforce math and science concepts used in solving engineering problems

-Attend workshops focusing on essay and resume writing

MITE is open to students with strong interests in engineering, science or math and a strong interest in applying to The University of Texas at Austin. Outstanding African American, Hispanic and Native American students, as well as those who have overcome any social or economic hardship, are strongly encouraged to apply. All students are welcome to apply.

Applications must be postmarked by Monday, April 2, 2012. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
