Pre-Veterinary Association

To educate our members on careers in veterinary medicine and to provide information to our members regarding entrance requirements to the various veterinary colleges.
To accomplish the above objective by sponsoring speakers who are in the field of veterinary medicine, sponsoring trips to veterinary related facilities, and keeping printed materials on current veterinary college requirements and veterinary medicine in general.
To provide a social context in which to meet fellow pre-veterinary students, pre-veterinary advisors, local veterinarians, and anyone else interested in the veterinary field.
To provide information regarding volunteer activities that members can join.

To be considered an active member of the PVA you must:

Pay membership dues.
Attend 4 meetings OR attend 3 meetings and a service project, social, or field trip.

Add yourself to the pre-vet mailing list so you can be notified of upcoming events and opportunities:

Send an e-mail to listproc@lists.cc.utexas.edu with no subject line and the following command in the body text:
subscribe PREVET YOUR_firstname YOUR_lastname
If, for some reason, this does not work, you can e-mail Jillian or Julia with questions regarding dates, times, and locations. Please refer to this web site as the primary source of information.

To post a message to the listserv, address your message to prevet@lists.cc.utexas.edu .

If you'd no longer like to receive our mailings, you can remove yourself from the pre-vet mailing list:

Send an e-mail to listproc@lists.cc.utexas.edu with no subject line and the following command in the body text:
unsubscribe PREVET
It is a common mistake to put your personal name at the end of this command. Use ONLY the list name.
Also, be sure to send your request from the same e-mail address that you used to subscribe to the list, since the process is automated.
You should receive a confirmation email stating that you are no longer part of the listserve.
