FAQ'S

1. How much time will Project S.E.E.E take?

Project S.E.E.E. is a minimal time commitment; you will volunteer for an hour per week in your class. We also have 1 meeting per month in the evenings, which will be announced at the beginning of the semester. But the main objective is volunteering, and helping to make a difference in kids. Even those with the most hectic of schedules will be able to do this for an hour a week, and we guarantee that you will have a great experience.

2. I have group of people that I would like to volunteer with already. Is this okay?

Sure! Readily formed groups are always welcome.

3. I am interested in Project S.E.E.E. but I have no experience teaching children and wouldn’t know where to start . . .

Don’t worry. We have a huge box filled with truly interesting science and math related activities and ideas. You will find many, many activities to get you started, and once you get adjusted to the kids you will probably think of many things you would like to do.

4. I don’t have a car so I have no way of getting to the school . . .

Members who don’t have a car will be paired with those who do. When you list the times you are available to teach you will also be asked to specify if you have a vehicle or not.

5. I want to teach kindergarden / I can’t handle small children, give me 5th graders/ etc. . .

You will also be asked which grade(s) you would like to teach. We will not put you with an undesirable grade.
